Sustainability heals.
We believe in sustainable wellness, the kind that does good for you, for our communities and for nature.
Proud to partner with Sustainable Wellness, a global community platform dedicated to driving sustainability across the spa, wellness, and hospitality industries.
The only location in Romania to be mentioned in the 2024 Rizzoli New York Publication “The Wellness Bucket List: 1000 Escapes and Experiences to Enrich Your Mind, Body, and Soul” the latest addition to the bestselling Bucket List series.
Nearly eight years ago, we embarked on a bold experiment, one that sought to challenge conventions and redefine rural tourism in Transylvania.
Our vision was clear: to create a space where food, wellbeing practices & nature are celebrated as the universal love language connecting us all.
We chose to stand apart, daring to include and celebrate vegan and plant-based diets, not as a critique of dietary choices but as a reflection of our commitment to sustainable sourcing.
Our voyage through 8 years, a pandemic, and seeing how our village is changing under our eyes has taught us the value of balance and adaptation. A healthy diet, we've realised, isn't marked by strict limitations but by the ability to savour unprocessed, high-quality ingredients that tell a story of their origin—the story of our village, our culture, and the passionate local producers who are the unsung heroes of sustainability.
We stand at the crossroads of tradition and innovation, inviting you to experience wellness that not only rejuvenates the spirit but also respects and revitalises the earth. Your choice to dine with us is more than a meal—it's a vote for a sustainable future, a gesture of support for local economies, and a step towards nurturing our planet.
Our Commitment to Quality & Sustainability
We craft a fresh, seasonal menu every day using premium local ingredients from sustainable Romanian producers and local farmers. Each meal is made from scratch and prepared exclusively for our reserved guests, ensuring zero waste and the highest quality.
Our water comes from our own well 200m down in the valley, it is all spring water and we use it for all our consumption needs. We ask our guests to use water resources mindfully.
As we are in a National Park we limit the amount of artificial lighting outdoors to not disturb our local wildlife and minimise light pollution in our area.
All our staff and collaborators receive above average wage ensuring their committment to delivering outstanding service and supporting our local, immediate economy.
We compost our food waste and use it in our 600sq m permaculture garden that provides us with fresh salads, herbs and vegetables throughout the summer.
We do not use plastic bottles or sell anything wrapped in plastic.
